Concurrent Students

Concurrent students (also referred to as dual credit or dual enrollment) are high school students who are simultaneously taking college courses that count for high school and college credit at the same time.

Requirements for Admission

The requirements for high school and home school are different
A high school student must meet the following requirements:

Accredited High School

  1. Seniors and Juniors must achieve a minimum composite score of 19 on the ACT or 3.0 high school GPA.

Home School or Unaccredited High School

  1. Seniors must be 17 years of age and must achieve a minimum composite score of 19 on the ACT
  2. Juniors must be 16 years of age and must achieve a minimum composite score of 19 on the ACT

Step by Step Enrollment Process

STEP #1 - APPLY

Complete the FREE APPLICATION for Admission to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.

STEP #2 - CONSENT FORM

Have your high school counselor complete and sign the Concurrent Enrollment Consent Form (in addition to having a parent signature). Provide this document to the Admissions office in person or via email at neoadmission@neo.edu.

STEP #3 - ACTIVATE GOLD KEY ACCOUNT

Register for your GoldKey (Student ID and e-mail). Use the links below to get set up or for help with the process.

STEP #4 - SUBMIT DOCUMENTS

Provide NEO Admissions Office (located in the Library Administration building) with the following documents in person or via email to neoadmission@neo.edu:

  • High School transcripts
  • Concurrent Consent Form
  • ACT Scores

STEP #5 - POLICY FORMS

Complete the Enrollment Policy & Procedure Forms. 

These forms will be sent in your NEO e-mail.

STEP #6 - SCHEDULE ENROLLMENT APPOINTMENT

Schedule an appointment to enroll in concurrent courses with the Admissions Office 918-540-6188.

Once you are enrolled in classes, you can complete the following items:

  • Get an NEO Student ID
  • Business Office to review account and receive parking decal (if necessary)
  • Purchase your books at the NEO bookstore

Concurrent Student Tuition Waiver Information

The waiver pays tuition only, no fees, and is for Oklahoma residents only.

Juniors

Eligible to receive 6 credits tuition waiver per semester (including Summer)

Seniors

Eligible to receive a total of 18 credits of tuition waiver

Concurrent students can receive a total of 36 credits of tuition waived

THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE CLASS FEES (estimate of $200-$300 per class)
